LOMAA is seeking new board members!

We are specifically looking for individuals to fulfil the following roles:

  • Board Secretary
  • Someone with experience in livestreaming events

Qualifications required in board members:

  • Be familiar with LOMAA’s programming.
  • Be a practicing creative individual with a passion for media arts or an enthusiastic supporter of creative industries and partnerships.
  • Support the mission of LOMAA and of the artists involved in its programming.
  • Be accountable and committed to LOMAA’s members, funders, community and supporters.
  • Willingness to serve a two-year term commencing December 2020. Board members are expected to attend monthly board meetings and to assist in the planning, promotion and delivering of LOMAA’s programming.

In addition, please have previous and proven experience in at least one of these areas:

  • Community involvement
  • Fundraising
  • Grant writing
  • Balancing budgets
  • Social media expertise
  • Event photography
  • Strategic planning
  • Leadership skills
  • Involvement with the not-for-profit sector
  • Collaboration
  • Film projection or sound technician experience

Who We Are
Established in 2012, the London Ontario Media Arts Association (LOMAA) is an emerging, enthusiastic and devoted non-profit artist-run collective that fosters collaboration, investigation and innovation by tapping into the talent and serving the needs of media artists in the London region. LOMAA helps to support and program creative partnerships between filmmakers, photographers, sound artists, musicians, engineers, and scientists, amongst others. Membership is open to the public to allow these types of partnerships to take shape and grow.

LOMAA is a non-profit, artist-run collective that fosters collaboration, exploration and innovation among media arts practitioners and patrons. LOMAA builds the region’s media arts community by offering accessible and diverse programming.
